Excellent pay and benefits, benefits, nobody works on friday, and flex-time

Greenlee has an open door/office cubicle culture, everyone works independently then come together to collaborate in project meetings. They have a 'meeting heavy' work environment. Tasks can not be completed unless there is meeting which can become counter productive. They are very poor with deadlines, and constantly extend deadlines or work at the last minute to make sure everything is completed for their very frequent product launches. Products are constantly being released or re-released and the market is not in demand for it, so their sales suffer dramatically and they rarely meet their goals. Budgeting and conscious spending is not the company's strength, and so much money is displaced. The company does invest heavily in interns and LDP programs, this leads to alot of inexperienced people in positions, because participants are always in rotation. The turn-over rate is high because people are always leaving the company or being prematurely placed in a new position. When their sales decline, they lay off their employees to compensate for missing their goals. The organizational structure, management, and operations are very disorderly, and chaotic to say the least. I was hired, relocated here, and laid off after a couple months with no notice. Although the pay and benefits are very well, the flex-time is nice, their is no job security. The company lacks structure, standard process/best practices, proper training, and experienced management.

    Advice to Management

Develop a structure, less interns/ldp, and focus on employment retention and positive turn-over
