    I worked at Greenway Health full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

    Greenway is always busy; there's ALWAYS something to do. Also, it's a very interesting space. Healthcare IT has been around for many years, but the development in technology has been 'behind the times'. There is a lot of room to make a name in the market, and the vision is very exciting. Benefits are standard, except for Medical-- moved to a high-deductible plan that was not cost-effective.

    Cons

    There is a lot of opportunity for growth in the company; however, things are very slow to progress; these's a lot of "saying" and not a lot of "doing". There is a definite lack of communication between departments, and even within departments. Prior to the merger, employees were valued, but that was no longer the case with the change. Employees are asked (required) to work OT (upwards of 10 hrs/wk) for 'projects' that seem to have no end in sight. Implementations are released without proper testing and ensuring functionality, which leads to frustrated clients and employees, but employees are accused of being unproductive.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Cherish your employees. In a software company, they're the ones that retain your customers. There are MANY opportunities for improvement within the company, and there are a lot of dedicated employees willing to make the changes; I would suggest giving them the opportunity. Much is required, but not much is given. Be sure to treat ALL employees fairly (not just the ones in GA).
