    Pros

    There is good opportunity for advancement if you are motivated and work in the right section of the company. The company is willing to hire young talented individuals and give them a chance without much experience. The benefits are pretty solid although they aren't as good as before the merger. The company is also very diverse in that there are many different types of jobs within the company. It is basically a financial services/commercial real estate company. So you could do anything from selling securities to financial advisors to managing a million dollar commercial building. If you are in the right position you get to be knowledgable about many different aspects of the commercial real estate and financial services world. While you may not be compensated here for what you are worth many people have taken the experience gained here and moved up to high paying jobs elsewhere.

    Cons

    There isn't much coordination between departments and one can feel very much disconnected from the company as a whole. Most people are only concerned with their own work within their department and not how it affects the company as whole. This is probably due to the size of the company and managers that don't stress cross training. Also, if you are a property manager and your property gets sold you might possibly be out of a job. The pay is less than one might expect from companies in similar industry. Overall I have no big complaints about the company that are significantly more than one would have working in any large corporation.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Work on cross training people and cross coordinating departments. All people within the company should know what people in other departments do and know how it affects them. Most people within the company are clueless about so many different aspects of our business and only care about their own work.
