    I have been working at Guerrero Howe full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    -Easy to get a job here if you have a college degree
    -The employees are the company's best asset, and you can make some great friends here
    -Laid back company: dogs allowed in the office, small company, casual dress, fun events
    -Work/life balance

    Cons

    -Terrible business model that will not sustain itself. Employees solicit executives for a list of their business contacts so they can then solicit them for advertising. It is so common for clients to be angry and dissatisfied, and this definitely wears on the company's reputation. Readership, distribution, deadlines, etc. are also completely fabricated.
    -Turnover is very high and retention is always an issue. Employees often don't go out of their way to learn the names of new hires because the majority will be quit or fired in a few months.
    -Guerrero Howe aims to get as much out of its employees as possible without offering anything in return. There is no willingness to support employees or invest time and/or money into their development and success.
    -Unprofessional environment: loud/open floor plan, drinking at lunch, employees dating, employees dressed unprofessionally
    -The president has no business experience and should not be making executive decisions for any company. He is a cheap opportunist with no morals and acts inappropriately with employees in and out of the office. The only thing he is concerned with is money.
    -Individuals in leadership positions are often neither willing nor qualified to manage others and frequently go on power trips. Some do not show up to work on a regular basis.
    -There is no transparency, and expectations/processes are constantly changing. Employees are left in the dark to figure out where they stand, and whether they are doing their job correctly.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Revise the company's structure - the hierarchy and organization does not match the company's needs. Responsibilities are always being shuffled around and its impossible to keep track of.

    Your employees are unhappy, your clients are unhappy, your advertisers are unhappy. This should tell you something.

    Care about your employees more. There is much more to them than the amount of money they bring in for you.
