Stability. Broad adoption of flagship product by government practically guarantees cash flow. Weak chief competitor means little chance of losing marketshare in Computer Forensics. Favorable citations in legal opinions is the marketing gift that keeps on giving. Great job security for administrative type positions in cost centers (HR, Accounting, Customer Service). Probably just as secure as a government job, without the stigma. Flagship product is powerful and can accomplish much good when placed in the right hands. Above market salary, 401k matching contribution. Terrific name recognition. Can open up many doors - especially outside the company.

High turnover. All job postings are to backfill a vacated position. Most were vacated because the former employee found a better position. This applies even in high turnover departments like sales. (Job seekers: find out what happened to the last employee!) Management recognizes this and has spammed this job board with favorable reviews. They will not invest in employee growth. "Don't like the job? Quit. You are easily replaceable" is the policy. Some managers will try to keep talent from leaving, but they are few and their managers don't care. There is a widespread belief that employees are fungible: a jr sales rep is just as easily replaced as a senior tech. Completely against working from home. If you're anywhere in Southern California, be prepared to go to Pasadena. Questionable long term growth. Business side believes core product can be broadly adopted and has strategized on that for the past 5 years but development has made it (and every other product) so clumsy and unintuitive that it remains a niche product... or shelfware. New version was supposed to be released last year, then later this year, then "when it's ready." eDiscovery and Cybersecurity products have produced tepid profits but scads of customer satisfaction issues.

    Advice to Management

Companies need to compete for both customers and employees. Lots of customer satisfaction issues and employee turnover probably means you should at least start listening to those that have left.
