I worked at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists full-time (More than 3 years)

    - Access to great medical care for your pets - Decent starting pay & benefits

    - Poor management. Very little follow through. Employees do not feel appreciated. - Communication is terrible. - Difficult to obtain any kind of promotion... little opportunity for growth. - When clients are downright abusive, management is not very supportive and often lets bad clients get away with saying/doing horrible things.

    Advice to Management

LISTEN to your employees. Reward and respect those who work hard for you. The majority of the people who go to work for you do so because they love animals. Many people who leave GCVS are so burned out they have to find new work in a completely different field. Ask yourselves "why is our turnover rate so high?" Look to yourselves for the answer.
