Decent company on the surface, but is run by management that cares very little for staff.

HDR is supposed to be an employee own company. It may be that way on paper, but the employees are definitely not treated that way. This is especially true in the Information Technology Group (ITG). The problems here start with the attitude of the CIO and are replicated down to the Directors and the Area Managers. IT Support Managers are driven hard and are expected to drive their staff beyond the breaking point. Upper management continues to expect more and appreciates and acknowledges staff even less. Numerous IT staff has left even from the corporate office in Omaha, stating their displeasure with the way they were being treated. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Replace the CIO and all of the Directors and Area Managers with qualified people who know how to run an IT organization and know how to treat their staff.
