The job is a guaranteed hire and guaranteed 40 hour work week. There is almost always overtime possible.
Since the employee retention rate is so low, and turnaround is so high, almost anyone is hired. This means that almost no one knows how to do the job properly, training is short and unhelpful, and time is not taken to ensure things follow process. The Management team is spotty at best, and there is little to no communication unless it is to reprimand Agents for some small slight that is blown up by Management team. One of the Managers is a bully, and will make several people cry before you decide that this probably isn't a positive work environment and decide to leave. The only ones who stay are the ones who can tolerate toxicity or need the job to survive. The compensation and benefits package are both weak, especially considering the area is full of call centers for larger companies who provide a much more robust salary and benefits package.
Advice to Management
Send your managers to training and focus on operations. Reduce your employee turnaround by creating a positive work environment and fostering a friendly office culture. Create the infrastructure for training that allows you to stop micromanaging and delegate.
