I have been working at Harley-Davidson full-time for more than 8 years

I really like the Harley brand, the pay, and the diversity at Harley Davidson there's opportunities to advance within the company. I like the outreach Harley has in trying to attract more African Americans, Hispanics, and more women riders to its brand, marketing is second to none!I also like the discounts on all the products

NO SICK DAYS !!! this is unrealistic you can't call in without taking a disciplinary point . you cant leave to go to the doctor without taking a point ! even if the on site nurse advises you to go! their are some supervisors that will allow it but they risk being labeled as being soft. So youre punished for things out of your control. This new surge system has us laid off about seven weeks in a year which is bad in December because here in Kansas city our property taxes are due! and plus its the Holiday season and we are laid OFF sorry no gifts this year, unemployment doesn't cut it When we go back to work in January its balls to the wall mandatory overtime 60. 65 work weeks and we were just laid off ???? I understand the need to have a good showing for the quarter but it has to be a better balance.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

When I first started working here I was like a kid in a candy store I felt they cared about their employees. now you don't we are just numbers. the current point system needs to change. Morale plant-wide is at an all time low . but honestly you just don't care about the hourly workers FIX IT I will say this the former CEO had no business sense at all, but Mr Wendell has a good vision for this company he just needs to start seeing the hourly employees as just numbers
