I worked at Henry L. Stimson Center full-time (more than an year)

Excellent benefits and perks for a non-profit.
In the beating heart of DC's think-tank world.
    A great jumping off point
    Super smart, super connected seniors.

Its very stove-piped. Because each project is funded independently, there's not a lot of cross project work/collaboration ect.
If your project isn't of interest to management, you can expect to be overlooked.
There's not a ton of consistency in performance evaluation and compensation.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Look outside your own areas of interest for talent.
