I have been working at Hertz full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Good benefits, flexible vacation schedule, flexible work hours schedule, positive teamwork, employee rewards/incentives/bonus', ability to move up in company, paid vacation, recognition, incentivised pay, great training/coaching programs.

My experience has been great with Hertz car rental as our management team is very supportive and always willing to assist with answering questions or coaching me with areas I have a hard time within the rental business. I have been with the company for 8-9 months and have moved up to become a Managers Associate. The benefit is more accountability and higher incentive/pay scale and ability to move up in the company. The discounted rates for car rentals and ability to have a vehicle on short notice is great.

    Cons

Long hours, difficult customers, constant changing sales targets, set hourly wages.

The work is tough and you have your work cut out for yourself when it is hot and washing vehicles in smart business attire. The work environment is challenging and sales targets seem to be constantly changing to accomodate less payout which is a bit frustrating for employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Reviewal of hourly rate/pay scale in accordance with inflation or at least an increase yearly for employees to reward hard work and the increasing cost of living.

Perhaps better facilities management for sites to show a more professional appearance.
