    I REALLY LIKED THE PEOPLE I WORKED WITH AND THE TEAM SUPPORT MENTALITY THAT ORIGINALLY EXISTED WITHIN THE ORGANIZATION. mostly I loved the client interaction and support from other techs to resolve any client issues with hardware or software, the extensive amount of people with specialty knowledge made support and gaining knowledge from others very easy, originally

    Cons

    the management culture within the organization is forced into short sided decisions to satisfy the metrics driven culture they have created which is the very thing that will ultimately force their own elimination from the organization. the layoffs that were cited within the organization based on these metrics have removed the reactive capacity and reduced the number of quality individuals supporting the clients as always with HP profit over People.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    the only true resource any organization has is the willingness of quality individuals to work together to achieve the organizations goals collectively. those goals have to include respect and acknowledgement of the individuals contributions to the success of the organization as a whole, management needs to be a participating contributor to the customer satisfaction and capable of the tasks necessary to achieve the goals not just taskmaster liaisons to upper management, so many positions in the company do nothing but change a metric on a spreadsheet the amount of people minding metrics exceed those directly helping the customers, the organization is top heavy and out of balance.
    to clean anything effectively on EARTH requires that you start cleaning from the top down not bottom up that way you don't get the bottom dirty after you just cleaned it, HP is on a 3.2 year repeating cycle of old ideas tried by new people who were not there to see the results the first time. any manager for any position should have to read all of the decisions of all predecessors to the job so as not to make the same mistakes. this goes for all organizations.
