HP bought Autonomy for a fabulously high price, which was pretty cool for the UK taxman and for long-standing employees of that fabulously daring UK software house.

Board volatility makes it impossible to act effectively on industry trends and big decisions. Autonomy could have turned into a great thing if they hadn't then fired those who sponsored the acquisition within 2 weeks.

Bureaucratic company culture destroys souls and makes the actual art of "doing" near impossible at times.

Weakness in middle management has destroyed the Aurasma business from the inside - rather than spinning it out in the consumer space, it is now being wasted on spin-ins to HP hardware for marketing points and novelty value at best. Such a waste.

Meg Whitman terrifies me and I imagine she drinks human blood.

    Advice to Management

Pointless to offer as they have no ability to act.
