I have been working at Hewlett-Packard full-time (More than 5 years)RecommendsNeutral OutlookRecommendsNeutral Outlook
They are open minded about working from home. Very flexible schedule. You get to do personal errands in the middle of the day or pause to go eat sushi with a friend and work later in the evening. No prob. Super laid back. They dont micromanage.
Forget about having a company culture or brotherhood. Forget about bonding with your peers. You barely know your peers. Very old demographic (40+ )...no young blood. Big company, so they can quick you in and out in a second...no matter how many years you have been working there...loyalty does not matter - You're a number. They are very thrifty...no budget for office things (snacks, events, etc).
Salary is low versus competitors
Advice to Management
Be more people oriented and less task oriented. Grow your people...do workshops...be fun. Very dull workforce.
