    Pros

Decent salary and benefits. Recently built a nice cafeteria. Made some very good friends while working there. Starting to invest money in new technology.

    Cons

Very hostile to change. Set in their ways but say they are "open-minded." Directors placate hourly workers at the expense of their supervisors and individual contributors. Big time "silo" mentality. Managers have ethical issues. Cronyism is rampant. Work force in a small town is biased against new hires. Office workers silently revolted after several layoffs. As a result many internal systems were not maintained and the new hires are in the words of those veteran workers, "Paying the price for our past sins." In short, the culture is very dysfunctional.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Jerk a knot in the tail of your directors and get them all on the same page. Instill into them the idea of servant leadership. Encourage them to find their intrapreneurs and leverage their energy. Eliminate the silo mentality and establish value stream product teams. Desperately need to retrofit archaic facilities.
