Current Employee - Production Lead in Kansas City, KS

I have been working at Hillshire Brands full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Great benefits, streamlined and technologically advanced process, collaborative environment, pay is fair, cross-functional training, opportunities for advancement, overtime 1-2 hours per day. Continuous improvement, safety, and quality focus.

    Cons

At times production is scheduled 7 days a week, changing work hours, system issues, new technology not performing as promised by vendors, some departments not as engaged with operations as expected, operations driven, operations supervisors expected to wear many different hats, employee discipline policy needs to be revised and upheld accordingly.
