I have been working at Holiday Retirement full-time
What this company offers seniors is fantastic. WONDERFUL place to spend your latter years on this earth. Great benefits for employees
As a comanaget- scheduled to work EVERY Friday and Saurday- 24 hour shifts. Required to be on call 4 nights a week - and the company gives you a SMALL one bedroom apartment to live in. If you take this job- you HAVE to learn how to do your job and still maintain your marriage. It CAN be done - but you must be creative and think out of the box
Advice to Management
It is often said the manager and comanaget position are just about the same thing. Comanagers are REQUIRED to spend the bulk of the week on site- work every week-end and cannot leave the building. Your company promotes TWO sets of managers at every location- why not stop all the turnover you have in your buildings by giving your managers - BOTH sets- a decent place to live? The "home" you provide your comanagers is an embarrassment to those who live in them- and it should be to the company as well. "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you". I KNOW there is not one person in upper management who would ever live as your comanagers do.
