I worked at Home Retail as a contractor for less than a year

    Pros

Good location if you live in MK. Building is modern. Support staff generally quite helpful. Decent discounts on a variety of things.

    Cons

Management and the culture in general is obsessively focused on office politics and status, very little in the way of real innovation, many stuck in outdated methods of working and entry level staff are treated like drones. Saw an intern contemptuously to "fetch coffee" on first day by senior member of staff, horrible culture.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Remove the ridiculous banding structure of remuneration which encourages office politics and status obsessed middle managers. Hire some competent management that care more about creating a dynamic business than slithering their way to a slightly better salary.
