I have been working at Horace Mann full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

The workers are great, Benefits are decent.

    Cons

Senior Management changes their mind every other week. They can not be trusted. They say there is NO retaliation. Ha. If anyone speaks up they get fired. PD is over worked. Not hiring anyone but temps that do not know the claims system. One of the PD managers has a couple of pet counselors. They run and get her coffee on command. They can do anything that they want during the day. They do not get many claims because they are always on special projects for Ms Queen Bee Team Leader.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be truthful with the worker bees. COMMUNICATE. Follow through with what you say is going to happen. Every years in January the managers go to a conference and come back with ideas. They implement some of them but always quit half way through the year.
