I worked at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt

    Pros

There really aren't any now. I worked there for 8 years and it use to be the best place to work. That all changed since the merger. We should name the company HArcourt Houghton because it's evident that's what it is.

    Cons

Can you spell communication? That would start with HONEST communication with the employees and then to the custoemrs. Why can't a rep send a sample? A company that can't afford a sample for their customers is most definitely in trouble. Customer satisfaction, inventory, order issues the list is long.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hurry up and make your latest set of layoffs. Your employees and school district customers need you to be stable.
