    Pros

Medical staff accepting of pharmacist in all positions. Good place to work and learn.

    Cons

Management covers up for those who constantly make mistakes, and expects others to cover up for the mistakes. Management has attitude issues, very negative, very rude, "bullies" staff. They delegate their management work onto others, there is no support for staff in any position. There is never any praise for staff. They support those who make mistakes and make the life of those who do their work a living hell. There is no realistic understanding of what any of the staff do during the day, what the responsibilities are, in any position (clinical and non-clinical). Every solution is a quick fix, there is no long-term fix, nothing is thought through thoroughly. The management do not like to hear solutions from staff. HR department is not supportive of staff, they do not provide anonymous comments back to the management.

    Advice to Management

Learn to manage!!!! You signed up to be in management, the 24/7 oncall, the work responsibilities, the meetings, etc...deal with it!! It is not the responsibility of your staff to do your work because you have too many meetings to go to or you just want to work an 8 hour job. Negative management = negative staff. Learn to praise your staff, give them rewards. LISTEN to their comments and take it to heart. When you cry wolf too many times, people catch on and no longer listen. Stop with the empty threats! Listen to your staff when you hire, these are the people who will be working with them day in and day out. Get a better attitude! If you do not like your job, or like being in management, leave!! Most of your staff not only dislike you, but actually hate you...open your eyes!!
