I worked at HuHot Mongolian Grill full-time (more than an year)

The schedule is pretty flexible, and the work itself is easy. Coworkers were courteous and fun to work with.

The Asst Manager spent most of her time in the office and would get upset when her phone conversations were interrupted for customer needs, she overall had a very negative personality and brought her home problems to work on a regular basis. The general manager himself did not welcome questions or new ideas; rather he took both as challenges to his authority. He would often leave aggressive signs around the restaurant and he was very inconsistent with policy. Both managers chose favorites and hired their family members.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Focus on the guests, not on micromanaging your employees. If you have time to criticize, you should also have time to help make sure guests are taken care of. Spend more time outside of the office and less time complaining about customers' and/or their children. Leave personal problems at home. If you treat your employees like they make a difference, they will.
