I have been working at Hudson Valley Hospital Center full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Good benefits such as 401k and 4 weeks vacation. I wish that I could think if something else nice to say but even the facility was not renovated to what staff would consider efficient because staff is never consulted on such matters even though we have to work in the environment.

    Cons

Unrealistic expectations and the favoritism is sickening. The hard working employees are treated so unfairly while certain staff get away with murder. There are too many chiefs and not enough Indians. How can you have an assistant director and director but no supervisor or manager? Management contradicts themselves constantly and never give you the tools to get the job done.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to your staff and give them the credit that they deserve instead of speaking to them condescendingly. Actually take notice of who is slacking and who actually cares about the job. Take a suggestion once in awhile from the people who are actually doing the job instead of blowing them off. Don't blame current staff for the mistakes prior staff have made. Don't just act like you care and like you are helping, actually do it.
