Great benefits! I create my own schedule and work from home. It's as if I am self employed, but have the benefits of working for a large company.
Sometimes the upper management has no clue of what goes on in the field. They think one direction will be cheaper on the company from their cubical at corporate, but when you take a step back you find another way is actually less costly and more beneficial. When changing benefits each year for our clients, the boots on the ground are rarely asked advise of...and it backfires...we could have saved those members from leaving. We could have said, don't get rid of this benefit...whatever the cost.
Advice to Management
We are on a good track right now. Let's make sure to reach out to the ones who are closest to our members and seek their council. Don't forget how important your career agents are. When there are negative changes in plan, we are the ones holding those ANOC seminars and getting yelled at. When Customer Service messes things up, we are the ones listening to those angry clients and working countless hours helping to bring perfect service...and this is on top of bringing new business in. We sometimes work many full time jobs in one. Don't forget our value! Those DMS leads that come in...I see those as a reward for all the overtime hours spent doing jobs that aren't a part of our normal routine...and having to listen to the screaming clients. Don't forget our value!!
