I have been working at Hunter Douglas (US) full-time (More than 8 years)
(1) The benefits are by far the best attribute of Hunter Douglas. (2) The second best would be the people you work with on a daily basis (well, those who actually work).
(1) Little to no acknowledgement for the work that you do. If you actually work, you get buried and are expected to work 24-7. If you do not work, you get promoted or are allowed to do this without correction. (2) Extremely top heavy management which just leads to more reductions at the "working" level as those large salaries must be paid for somehow. (3) Favoritism is high and completely evident/ visible. This is really tough to witness and takes a toll after a while. (4) Pay is good but once again, it is who you know and who likes you. Raises may not be fair and are often very biased. (5) They talk quite about about values and culture, however, actions do not support this in many cases. (6) Bullies do exist, even at a professional level.
Advice to Management
I cannot say anything now that I have not already said during my employment with Hunter Douglas.
