I have been working at Huntington Hotel

Nice ambiance, non corporate atmosphere, friendly co workers, small business feel, good location, good reputation, good benefits, competitive pay, nice park across the street.

Union, many employees have parked there for years doing the minimum necessary to get by, non motivating upper level management who does not interact very much with staff or stay current with hotel or management trends. Stuck in years of history and ways of doing things.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get out of your office half an hour every day and circulate with all your staff (even room cleaners), learning, motivating, thanking. Blow off the cobwebs and shake things up, it's not the 1990's anymore. Challenge yourself to learn something new and to do a better job leading by example.
