Balanced review, overall in favor of IBM. Critique of IBM is well done.

I have been working at IBM

    Pros

Large Company Profile, lots of hidden job opportunities. Talent and Genius found sproradically, but proportionally more than say a company half IBM's size.

    Cons

Large company, certainly not "Cheers", where "everybody knows your name". Focus is largely on profit, not on changing the world or promoting process that changes the world. Maybe I'm in the wrong group, maybe not.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Look long and hard at the resources you could lose if you dont show them the money, respect, or attention they are looking for. It doesn't take long for employees to migrate to better opportunities elsewhere.
