    I have been working at IHS full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

    Opportunity to learn a lot. Relaxed office culture and good work-life balance. Great entry level job. Access to IHS content and products from other teams/areas allows for very unique learning opportunities if one has the motivation to pursue them individually. The work can be very engaging and rewarding.

    Cons

    Geographically dispersed teams can cause communication difficulties. Lack of communication with senior leadership can lead to sub-optimal synergies and confusion. There seems to be a focus on acquisitions, although integration/follow through is less than ideal. There are not very many opportunities for career advancement, especially at lower levels. This coupled with everything else has led to a seemingly above average turnover ration.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Focus on team cohesion and make the extra effort to keep employees informed and engaged. Recognize existing talent and consider placing an emphasis on retaining employees.
