I worked at IHS full-time (more than a year)Pros
Becoming more people and process driven as core functions get professionalized afterten yrs of rapid growth.
Fascinating content. Plenty of smart and decent people.
Lots of room for new ideas, though little financial support to invest in them. The company is cost focused and the most successful people are people who are able to manage costs. Not a company where yiu shoukd expect your leaders to be visionaires, great product people, stellar marketers etc. Cfo-led.Cons
For asia office, quite us-centric. That includes the best and worst of what that means.
Plenty of mediocre people too.
Tier 2 or 3 company. Good stepping stone. Leaders are not the same quality as simikar people who I have firsthand experience with from top public companies.Advice to ManagementAdvice
If you are smart get out while the stock is high. If you look at the fundamentals I cant see growth sustaining itself. A lot of smoke and mirrors. Synergies from multiple acquisitions often are only theoretical.Doesn't RecommendPositive OutlookDisapproves of CEO
