I have been working at IIF full-time (More than a year)
The IIF can be a great place to work. You have the opportunity to work directly with the brightest and most successful people in finance. The IIF takes great care of their upper-level professionals. They offer a great benefits package! The staff off-site and the holiday party are wonderful every year.
Unfortunately, junior staff is undervalued and under payed. Recently, the company has been working on cutting down personnel expenses and people are worried about job security. Senior management and the leadership team make great money and they deserve to! Junior staff is barely paid enough to make a living for themselves living in such a pricey city. The leadership team can earn up to 100% of their salary in their year-end bonus... Meanwhile, junior staff is praying for a measly raise each and every year. This organization and many like it could not operate without junior staff members and I wish the IIF valued our contributions more.
Advice to Management
Financially reward your junior staff for their excellent work and support to their departments and supervisors. Do not cap that number of people who can receive exceeds expectations and outstanding ratings on reviews. Implement a flex schedule. Provide more financial support for continuing education.
