    Pros

Monthly group meetings where homemade omelets and breakfast bar are highlights. Lots of autonomy for NPs in assisted living facilities.

    Cons

Group expenses are deducted from your income as NP evenly, not per NP accrued expense. Malpractice insurance is part of the expenses deducted (but it is only 1/3 of the MDs cost for malpractice insurance). Working 12 days in a row with 2 overnights during the week for call and an entire weekend on call with mandatory rounding. Hiring of new providers when current NPs do not have enough income/patients to receive bonuses (after the expenses are deducted). You work so many hours that you don't have a chance to use your benefits! There is a LOT of infighting!

    Advice to Management

Consider current employees as assets--if a new opportunity opens up--actually offer it to current employees before announcing that a contract is underway with a new employee. Actually charge the individual provider/NP what they accrue as an expense instead of dividing all expenses amongst each NP.
