    Pros

No real structure or accountability. No income to speak of which lends to flexible working hours since you aren't being paid. It's an unfunded startup with plenty of opportunity to learn what not to do. Equity plan for when actual revenues come in and the company gets acquired.

    Cons

Overly restrictive competitive agreement which is odd since there is no salary component. Lack of a consistent compensation model. No formalized org structure. Lots of top level management all looking to cash in on an acquisition. Get everything in writing. Everything. Be very clear on the amount of outstanding shares. It's probably 4x what was communicated. You will not be paid for working here unless you sell. Period. Resume filler at best for those in between opportunities. There are no actual resources to do any of the things they claim. It is at best a staffing company. At worst, something far more insidious and misleading with the internal prep meetings to review the misinformation everyone would spout on sales calls to be on the same page.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Go back to Chicago. Treat people fairly and with respect. Be open with clients about the state of your company.
