Current Employee - Software Engineer in Saint Paul, MN
Current Employee - Software Engineer in Saint Paul, MN

I have been working at Infor full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

-Pay is better or on par with the majority of other tech companies in the area.
-Work to life balance is good. (rarely work more than 40hrs a week)
    -Laid back easy going environment.
-Matching 401k, 20 days PTO starting out, paid holidays, health, dental, and vision
    -Opportunities to learn new technologies
    -Nice location
    -Annual pay increase

    Cons

    -Have to pay for parking
-Vacation day PTO is also used for sick days
-Not a lot of communication from the business side to the tech side. There is some, but it could be better.
-Often there seems to be a disconnect between UX team and Engineers. This is mostly due to the fact that the UX team is located in New York while the old Lawson Applications (now infor) are being developed and maintained in St Paul.
-Often don't really know what is going on with the company / clients outside of our immediate team / location.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Better communication between business teams, ux teams, and engineers. Better communication on growth, customer satisfaction and future plans. Pay is average with the market and could be better. It would be nice if vacation days weren't used for sick days.
