Great if you like home working, but that pretty much covers all the benefits

I have been working at Informa full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

-Flexible working, you choose when you want to go to the office and when you want to work from home
-I really am struggling to list another benefit. They have a list of "benefits" in the package they offer, but in the end I did not choose any of them because they all seemed pretty useless and overpriced.
-The office is centrally located, near St Pauls Cathedral, close to all mainline stations.
-Nice direct management (at least the person that managed me), but overall it's poorly structured and too many layers of middle, lower and upper management for it to operate efficiently.

    Cons

-They recently took over the company I worked for and that meant the most experienced people left straight away, leaving those that waited out their bonus payments. Once that was done, they started looking for the exit sign too. That meant that junior staff with zero experience had to be hired and the all the work had to be picked up by those that remained from previous years. This meant they started piling huge amounts of work on me to a point when I started hating the job I loved only a few months before, all under the guise of not wanting to overload junior staff. Now it's all nice to say that they don't like the "sink or swim" attitude, but they should also avoid drowning other people with all the work that junior staff are unwilling or unable to do. Career progression is zero and managers think staff are absolutely naive to believe any meaningless offer to keep experienced staff in place. I give my division 6 more months before it completely disintegrates and not only employees but subscribers will also start to flee.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more flexible and listen to your employees screaming for help. Don't wait with your counter offer until the last moment, when your employee has already totally made up his/her mind to leave and feels disillusioned and under valued.
To higher management: give more authority to middle and junior management so that they can act fast when the boat starts to sink and employees are jumping off...
