Fair pay and benefits. Compensation seems to be just ahead of comparable corporations.

Organization if muddled with mid and senior management roles that have little or no effect on lower ranks direction. Small town facility (Princeton-LCN), has managers that protect and retain local, under-performing personnel. Management will not terminate these employees due to fear of community backlash.

    Advice to Management

Focus on doing the job right. Accurate documentation, Value-Added activities. Putting Cost Savings Objectives that are unattainable on employee's PMP does nothing to motivate, but actually demotivates and crushes morale. OpEx department, created to focus on Lean, does nothing but creates more workload for Process / Manufacturing Engineers. Focus on simplicity, not $$$.
