    I worked at InterContinental Hotels Group part-time

    Pros

    Pay is pretty good if you are student
    Manager is flexible with you if you request time off.
    My co-workers were awesome, funny people to work with
    Most of the guests are friendly and nice to talk to
    The front desk manager was really nice...when he was actually there.
    Friends and family discount

    Cons

    The management at the location I worked at was very poor. Very mean-spirited people.
    Housekeeping lacks communication and this constantly caused problems. The number one complained was the cleanliness of the rooms.
    I received very little training. It would have helped me tremendously if I received more.
    The uniforms, specifically the front desk, were itchy, hot, and just ridiculous. No wonder some guests didn't take us seriously.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    More training for employees. You have no idea how much this helps people do their jobs better instead of throwing them in to figure it out themselves. Please don't make the front desk wear silly uniforms; let them wear their own professional clothing.
