I have been working at Interactive Intelligence full-time (more than 5 years)

Good culture, decent benefits, good career mobility, friendly coworkers

The work-life balance is atrocious in certain parts of the company. Compensation is typically pretty low at first (even for Indianapolis), but it is possible to work up to a market average salary over time since raises tend to be above market average.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Being quick to market is important, but coming to market with half-finished products that barely pass basic testing hurts the company's image. Customers often have to weigh the benefits of upgrading with the bugs and broken parts they are guaranteed to run into with the updates or new products. We've built a track record of having poor quality first releases and spending the next year or two trying to fix them. The innovation coming out of this company keeps us moving, but our quality issues are becoming a dead weight that's really starting to drag us down. We're not a small company anymore; we can't survive on innovation alone.
