Great org, but internal politics and favorites run the show, not the mission

Fulfilling work. Opportunity to make a real impact when everything aligns.

Disappointing management: executive staff plays favorites, very much an 'in' group of staff that seems to be based on nothing more than being in the CEO or COO's good graces.

Lack of transparency in decision making. Great place if you can go to work from 9-5 and forget about the office the rest of the time. However, few people tend to be that way in animal welfare work.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

My advice would be to the board and not management: they should consider refreshing management with people from outside that do not pander to internal politics.
