IGT (Reno) is a decent place to work - great people, good work/life balance but compensation/incentives could be better

I have been working at International Game Technology full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

A lot of great and smart people work at IGT, there are people who work hard every day and most accounting positions have a great work life balance (it depends on what group you are in). Some supervisors are great, smart and provide excellent support and guidance and others are just there and do not try. For accounting, it really does depend on which group you get into. It is great to have a gym and cafe on site and people are very nice and friendly.

    Cons

A lot of people are "coasting" and do not work hard and other people have to pick up their slack. There is very little incentive to work hard and do your best when even those that do very little receive the same "incentives" and "minimal" pay/benefits/raise/etc as those that give it their all. Leadership always says "do your best and work your hardest" but it doesn't result in anything in the end besides personal satisfaction.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Provide incentives to those employees that work really hard and go above and beyond their jobs. Unfortunately, the good employees are leaving for better pay and better benefits/compensation and to be recognized for their hard work. Also, work on getting rid of those employees that are just "coasting" through and barely doing anything, it could save IGT a lot of money
