I worked at International Marketmakers Combination for more than a year

I would imagine that if you are out of college, like to go out a lot, drink, party, and basically have all or most of your entertainment paid for, this is the place. There is a lot of out of work activities which works if you are single and new to the area.

Absolutely nothing this place does is family orientated. If you are older or married or in a committed relationship, you can kiss all the entertainment perks goodbye.

This place forces charity upon you. Now don't get me wrong. I think helping others is great. Except I don't like to be forced into doing what the owner believes we should be doing. If you care about charity, the bonus money that is taken away from us to go to charity should go to the charity of each individual's choice, not to the choice of the owner. What good is that.

Said many times and it is so true, this is a Dutch firm in and out. Ducth are untouchable, make more money and can get away with almost anything. The wagons will circle around them. Others will be thrown to the wolves.

Very political and bad politics at that.

Coasting on one strategy only and cannot figure out how to make money from other strategies.

Lot of office romances going on. What is bad is when senior people in the firm are involved. Creates a very toxic environment for all.

Loyalty means nothing absolutely nothing. Everybody is a cost and a number.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get a clue and get outside help. You have taken this place as far as you can and now time to bring in experience.
