I worked at International Rescue Committee full-time

Wonderful people who are so passionate and knowledgeable about what they do, including many in leadership positions. It's a mission-driven organization.

Workplace culture is not as communicative and forward-thinking as it could be, often means working long hours in artificially lit cubicles. Management is working on better ways to harness the people power and technology available, but in the short-term that leads to extra workload and transition-related stresses.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Recent focus on technology as an avenue for participation is great, however engagement with IRC's greatest asset -- it's people -- should remain based on the bedrock of human to human interfacing through field visits, small forums, social activities, etc.
