    Lack of organization

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee in New York, NY
Former Employee - Anonymous Employee in New York, NY

I worked at International Rescue Committee as an intern (less than a year)

    Pros

Most of the people working there were nice and had interesting stories.
As an intern, you have the ability to directly interact with refugees and have a true opportunity to provide assistance them during the resettlement process.

    Cons

There is a real lack of organization and training.
No true guidelines given to interns. Way too many interns in the office compared to the number of real employees.
