I have been working at International Sports Management full-time (more than 8 years)Pros
> I genuinely like everyone I work with. It is a fun atmosphere where talking about sports is something we do each and every day.
> Generous commission scale. I have worked at other sales jobs where the rate of commission paid is much lower.
> Vacation is great during the holidays, longer than what you got off when you were in school, and it's paid.
> I get to be home for dinner with my wife every night during the week, and have every weekend off. Having a set work schedule is nice.
> Plenty of incentives for producing opportunities, including meals, electronics and sports tickets.
> You will learn a lot about the way many different businesses are run by talking to their high level executives on a daily bases.Cons
> It can be challenging starting out to get DM's on the phone as it takes a while to get used to the system, but when you get the system down you will be highly rewarded once opportunities start to close.
> Making 150 plus calls per day is not for everyone.
> Training can be a bit overwhelming due to lots of new information, but trust the system that they teach you, it works.Advice to ManagementAdvice
