I have been working at Interplex Industries full-time (More than 10 years)
I have met some very nice people here. There are several doors that open to opportunity. Unfortunately, they are all marked "EXIT".
Nepotism. Ineffective management. Lack of trust. Skill, experience, and talent are rarely acknowledged and compensated. Employees aren't treated with respect and several employee rights are blatantly disregarded. Moral is low. More talk than action. Pay increases, if any, are nickel and dimed to death then tak. Pay rates are at about 50% of average. No set criteria for job descriptions. There are several employees in multi-role positions, inaccurately compensated, of course. Rules and policies only apply to those in lower positions. Management is hypocritical and lacks the vision to identify true potential within the company. The overall feel is that of a prison. Employees are typically disgruntled and unhappy. Lead persons are ignorant and have poor attitudes toward those they manage.
Advice to Management
Treat your people well and recognize their potential. COMPENSATE them for it. Realize that your skilled people are leaving for a reason, several reasons, in fact. Put an end to the nepotism. Your people work hard to provide their loved ones with a good quality of life, not to struggle financially. Your unhappy, under paid, overlooked employees WILL leave at the first opportunity. They need only use the door marked "EXIT".
