If you get lucky you can have the chance to work on some cutting edge science/technologies. Some good folks on the ground in the labs working their butts off.

A significant number of employees are worried for thier jobs and probably looking to leave. The few that aren't are political connections to management. You will learn to keep your opinions and career development goals to yourself because management has little interest in those. Management is distant because they don't want to get close to those they are planning to let go. There is almost no company morale or camaraderie. What bonds there are get formed by those on the ground akin to battle tested bonds. Questionable IP moving forward.

    Advice to Management

Bring some humility and humanity back to the company. Listen to the scientists on the ground because they are good people and colleagues. You are creating a workforce that is not loyal, looking to leave and only motivated enough to just keep their jobs. I would only say good luck because I know many good people in the labs that I'm concerned for.
