As a general contractor rehabbing homes I had plenty of jobs, getting paid was slow.

I worked at Invitation Homes as a contractor (less than an year)

Steady work to perform rehabs, however there overall processes could be improved especially as it relates to paperwork, invoicing (getting paid).

The company did a poor job of streamlining its processes and reducing paperwork for general contractors. Expect to purchase materials, pay for labor, and wait beyond 30 days after final inspections to get paid. Must have money to carry your labor and material costs.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Streamline the operations and incorporate an online portal that general contractors, supervisors, vendors, can use from initial walk through to final punch out. Also incorporate portal for billing, and warranty claims.
