I worked at Isobar US full-time (Less than a year)
It's a huge agency, you feel that there are some awesome projects going on. If you are on a good account it can be great. There is a lot of talent there.
People are hired and fired as needed. Communication was a huge issue. The on-boarding process was a nightmare. I had no idea who I reported to really and it took my a while to figure out even who reported to me. They don't communicate about much and it is up to the employee to find their place in the organization. This can be really frustrating and looks bad in the eyes of Clients. They speak very poorly of their clients. I was astonished at how employees and management openly bad-mouth their clients—These are the people who pay the bills here and they should be respected! That behavior has impacted the culture at Isobar by its arrogance. Isobar has a superiority complex. The Executive Level Creative Directors are very hands off and don't do much real work, both internally and externally. Projects just go along without any real "nurture" so what matters is never addressed.
Advice to Management
Communicate with employees from the top to the bottom. Have a plan to notice, recognize top talent. Create a culture that respects the client in every way based on humility and caring about creating amazing work.
