I have been working at JDRF full-time (more than 5 years)

Mission driven. Many dedicated employees that believe they are making a difference. Good work / life balance at the corporate headquarters in NYC.

there have been 4 (?) CEOs over the the last 10 years and it's taken its toll. It is too top heavy in nyc: Too many VPs and it's politically difficult to navigate and progress - the "team" attitude is missing. It's hard to get promoted if you are internal. Better off leaving and coming back if you want to move up and get more money. New staff are paid much much more than than tenured staff. They also do not invest in current staff - professional development training is impossible to get if you are not a fundraiser.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

definitely plan better before the next lay off and re-organization. They clearly have not been thought through. Also treat your employees better. - hopefully within the new (again) CEO (Derek Rapp) the people / human approach. And lastly communicate more. Transparency in business decisions.
