    Pros

You get to wear many hats. That will force you to grow your skillset. People are the strongest asset at this company. Most are friendly and competent.

New business units are exciting and need to take off for the US operation to remain profitable in the next 5 years

    Cons

Manufacturing leadership has changed a couple times over the past few years. The current leadership is not qualified to manage the strategic and tactical details in a globalized setting. Lack of strategy creates a gap filled by loud noise that is meaningless.

Too many times, the bigger picture items are glossed over while minutia details are mountains where mole hills should exist.

Executive management became highly political with the retirement of the original VP of Sales. Where ethical behavior and equality once existed, politics and pointing fingers now exist.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Grow your management team faster not by adding more tasks but by creating mentorships and encouraging them to do the same with their downstream talent. The organization is too small for the amount of process laden tasks that are asked of its employees. While the Revenue/headcount metric is impressive, it ultimately means that certain departments are far overworked. Find a way to add work-life balance back to the employees life.
