A Big Gorgeous Business Run By Ego-Too Many Corp Salaries

Former Employee - Customer Sales and Service in Los Angeles, CA

I worked at John Deere Landscapes full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Work Hours- Decent Salary- JDL bought my previous company making me a little higher paid than the others so I can't complain about $. Individual store was pretty good to work in. Were bailed out by an investment company, hopefully they'll improve efficiency.

    Cons

Top Heavy- Lots of Ego Involved In Management-Lack of Integrity or Values-The company professes community involvement and generosity but that's an outright lie. Dollar signs trump ANY decision on community or donation. Senior Mgmt will lose sales to improve their own accounting. Corp buyers force their products on individual stores regardless of store demands, THEN later tack on additional costs to out-transfer products which never should have been stocked. Lots of money spent without store-level input resulting in less than maximum return on investment.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Respect employees knowledge and professionalism. Run the business to make money, not for personal advancement..
